Enjoy a 30 min student-led punting tour along the River Cherwell. Set off from the boathouse & visit Oxford’s famous Botanic Gardens, Magdalen College School fields, Christ Church Meadows, & St Hilda’s College gardens.
Taking a chauffeured punting tour around Oxford’s historic waterways and enjoying the stunning scenery is a long-standing activity for residents and visitors alike. Oxford punting tours are a great way to get away from the city’s hustle and bustle and into the countryside in minutes. As you set off south from the boathouse you will be chauffeured gently past Oxford’s famous Botanic Gardens, past Magdalen College School fields, and through Christ Church Meadows, where Lewis Carroll was teaching students in the mid-19-century, when he wrote the famous Alice Through the Looking Glass and Alice in Wonderland. Then pass St Hilda’s College gardens and back to the Boathouse. Alternatively, if you have the time and are feeling adventurous, our chauffeur will continue south towards the Isis (Oxford’s name for the River Thames), where the river opens up and you can enjoy being chauffeured at a leisurely pace along this stunning natural river environment. For those looking to visit for the day why not try our combined walking and punting tour package lasting approximately 120 minutes for the ultimate Oxford experience?!
