Sit back and relax on a guided Punting tour along the River Cam.
A traditional Cambridge pastime
Did you know that the original punts were used for transporting cargo around the fens? Ideally suited to shallow water, the punt is a flat and square-shaped boat that is pushed along with a pole. In the early 20th century punting quickly took off as a leisure activity, and has since become an iconic part of Cambridge tradition. Nowadays punting is the most popular way among students and visitors alike to enjoy the peaceful scenery of the college backs.
Rule the river
If you don’t feel like sharing, why not hire your very own six-seater or twelve-seater punt? Exclusive private tours are ideal for family groups, prospective students, or even hen parties. As you cruise through eight of the most famous colleges and under nine iconic bridges, taking in sights such as King’s College Chapel and the stunning Bridge of Sighs, your personal tour guide will spin stories that blow your mind. History fanatic? Considering studying architecture? Want to know about student pranks, May Balls and Formal Halls? Or are you happy sipping champagne and enjoying the view? Tell us exactly what you want from a punting tour, and we’ll do the rest.
